Home Wildlife Guide

The wildlife we handle, the way Oklahoma sees them.

A practical field guide for homeowners. Each card covers what you’re likely hearing or seeing, why it matters, and what an inspection usually involves. None of this replaces a visit — but it helps you describe the issue clearly when you book.

Most common

Raccoon

Smart, dexterous and very capable of opening up a soffit. Mothers will den in attics in spring — we treat those jobs with extra care so kits aren’t separated.

Opossum near a residential deck
Misunderstood

Opossum

Often blamed, rarely the actual problem. They eat ticks, garden pests and clean up scraps. We move them when they den in the wrong place — never harm them.

Persistent

Squirrel

Small, fast, very willing to chew. Squirrels return to the same access point even after sealing — which is why we inspect, exclude and reinforce in one job.

Skunk near a porch in a residential yard
Handle with care

Skunk

Quiet, careful work. We trap at night, cover the cage on approach, and avoid stress. Most jobs end with no spray and a release far from any property line.

Protected

Bats

Bats are protected and have specific exclusion windows. We use one-way bat valves, never block them in — and we follow Oklahoma maternity-season rules.

Birds

Most bird issues are nesting in the wrong place — vents, soffits, eaves. We respect protected species and time exclusion work to nesting cycles.

Snakes

Most yard snakes in Oklahoma are non-venomous and helpful. We identify, advise, and only relocate when there’s a real risk — never destroy unnecessarily.

In walls

Rodents (mice & rats)

Wall scratching, faint odor, droppings near food — small entry points cause big issues. We seal, sanitise and follow up to make sure they don’t come back.
